Regex / finite state library with support for callouts

Does anyone know a Java library for regular expression matching or similar finite state techniques that enables callouts like PCRE in C does?

I.e a library that allows you to define a regular expression like

abc(?C1)def

along with a user-defined function F, and then after matching "abc" calls F on the current match state, and continues the match for "def" after F has returned?

It does not have to be this exact syntax, but general support for function callouts is something I need and haven't been able to find in Java yet.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
