I have a link in my jsf page. If i click that link it has to show a pop up containing some static content. The static content is a jsp. Is it possible to show that jsp as a pop up on click of that link. or is there any other way we can do the same. Please let me know your suggestions.

Thank you

First disclaimer: I have my "pop ups" set up to open in new tabs, not new windows.

Second disclaimer: I really find pop-ups annoying except when there's absolutely no other viable way of displaying information.

You can open a secondary window (or tab) by using the "target" attribute. It's available on the commandLink element, but not on commandButton.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the reply. I tried target attribute and not able to get the desired result. I tried the below one.

Now am getting the popup window. But Guide.faces showing blank. I have the jsp with name Guide.jsp. Please let me know if there is anything else i need to configure to get the page content.
I agree. Here's the link:
