How to give this book to an idiot

I'm speaking of course of SQL Antipatterns...

Long story short, we ran across an Oracle DB so badly designed, it probably had every anti pattern from the book. No indexes, using Number(32) to store a single digit, etc. When we tried to give him a few tips, he pulled the "that's for internal use only, you weren't supposed to see those details " card and refused to change anything.

I'm wondering if it'd be appropriate to give a copy of this book to the guy point blank, or maybe leave it at his desk Secret Sabta style. What say you? ;)
