I created webservice and building the xml in a servlet. Now I wanted to get some extra XML Data from another service through url. Now I am calling the using the url in my servlet where I am building the XML Data. But now I am getting the only XML Data from the URL but not getting the XML Data which I am building. I would appreciate if someone can help me out to get both data from the url and the data from my existing service combined.

Hi!
It is because you redirect requests to the URL http://dotnetdev/pmts/GoogleDirectoryWS/iPhoneService.asmx/getFullDetail?personID=10316701
I recommend you to read about what HTTP redirect means and modify your servlet not to use this technique.
Best wishes!

Sam

Why are you using response.sendRedirect(url) ?

If you want to consume another ervice , use Apache httpclient
