is there anyone who has an idea about writting a web application for social networking using servelets? please i intend to use this as my undergraduate project....anyone with a good idea should please help....i want to start planning and writtning right away...thanks...
The basic functionality of such sites is not exactly rocket science to implement. What exactly do you plan to implement, and what ideas have you had about approaching it?

well from what i know so far,if i can just get the database structure right then i can start worrying about the programming aspect of it ..any suggestion from you is welcome as you are the only one who has dared to reply this post ....I think i have the facebook model sort of in my head but it`s still a long way from here ..I think i should take it step by step......

What, exactly, are the requirements? That's where you should start. Once you have those you can start thinking about what you need from the DB.
