Need of xml parser in struts project-Urgent

Hello everybody,
I have a basic doubt in struts........
Why we are using xml parser in struts?
Where we are using it?
Can any one reply me?
Please do it immediately....

Since the Struts stores it's configuration information in an xml file, (struts-config.xml) and it's validator also stores information in an xml file, xml parsing is needed to process these files. When the Struts ActionServlet starts up, it needs xml parsing capability to parse through struts-config.xml.
