AJAX and sessions

Will AJAX requests from my (servlet/JSP) web page send and receive the session object associated with the parent page? Regarding this, is there anything I need to be particularly aware of?

Many thanks,
James

Sessions object do not get sent/received on any requests -- they are server-side constructs only.

But yes, sessions will participate in Ajax requests just as they do "normal" requests.

OK thanks, I should have said 'session token' rather than 'session object'... So I can be sure the session token will be sent with each AJAX request?
