Trying to predict a field as fast-paced as software 5 years out is folly.

Jokes aside, I doubt anyone can predict what you are asking for.

Market will have people with deteriorating language/communication skills.

After 5 years:

1. Average age of people around you in office will be 30+ years.
2. IT Professionals will look beyond Project Management Jobs, they will start taking Architectural or Specialist jobs.
3. If you are a java professional you will have a tough job to cope with N numbers of Java/Web frameworks taking birth everyday.

Maybe the off shoring laws will get stricter and will be completely banned.

Either of these two things will happen..
1)Since there is no work to do, the companies will shutdown and everyone will lose their job
2)The companies would try to make some real software rather than just be body shoppers. Maybe some innovative companies like apple/google would emerge.

or nothing will happen and thing will be the same as they are now.
