how do i start with ORM? is there any books about ORM generally rather than hibernate or ibatis?

i saw most the books are about Hibernate or IBATIS

There wouldn't be much of a point about a general ORM book, since it couldn't tell you anything beyond what an ORM is and some of the ways it might work. They're all very different, although JPA is at least a spec that ORMs may implement.
