how to use ActionMessages

till now, i am using struts errors i.e, ActionErrors class for displaying action errors, and iam writing key and value pairs in, now the ActionErrors is to be replaced by ActionMessages. so If I use ActionMessages can I write key,value pairs in same or should I need to keep another file called

please help

you can use the same old . ActionError(s) extended ActionMessage(s) in the pre-1.2.x Struts.
