Can anyone please clarify me whether it is possible to convert a desktop application/software in to an android application?

That is a very broad question and would require more details to answer properly
It really depends what the application is
And "convert", there is now simple way to just click something and convert it, you would need to re-code it (unless it relies heavily on libraries which could save coding time)
