Hi @,

I was just wondering, which of these both is easier to pass (both are interesting to me and I don't have so much time, just till 30.04.2010 because my voucher ends then).
I am not so familiar with the theme, so I have to learn for both exams.

What is your opinion?

Thanks

Howdy !

If you are not mistaken with the expiration date, I would suggest you to take SCWCD 5.

There is just a single book you need to pass the exam - "Head First Servlets and JSP".

There is no single book to pass SCDJWS, rather you should refer many books and specifications.

MZ

Hi!
In addition to what Mikalai says, the SCWCD is a good step towards SCDJWS.
Java web services uses servlet technology and a good understanding of those concepts will make further studies easier.
Best wishes!

Hi,

yeah that with the expiration date was wrong, it is 30.04.2011 as you probably already figured out.
Ok thanks for your information, then I suppose to start with the SCWCD

Again thanks

Hi MZ (or any body for that matter),
Can you please suggest books for SCDJWS for EE5 or EE6 version? I know there is sun book (v1.4 though)
Designing Web Services with the J2EE(TM) 1.4 Platform : JAX-RPC, SOAP, and XML Technologies. Does this
book a good reference along with SOAP and other related specifications?

thanks a bunch

Hello,

The book you're mentioning (also it's referred to as "Web Services Blueprints") is still good for SCDJWS 5.0 exam for the Web Services Architecture topics.

Besides this book you should refer other study sources which are listed on the SCDJWS Links page on this forum.

Best regards,
MZ
