Is SCJA very different form SCJP?? in terms of syllabus & question pattern??

Well, the exam is similar, in that it's about 50 multiple choice questions.
SCJP is very much code. Code, code, code. SCJA selects from a wider array of topics, there isn't as much coding, and the coverage is much broader.
