The search page (linked at the top of each page) has recently been enhanced with a couple of new features that may have gone unnoticed, so we wanted to mention them briefly.
Exact phrase match: Up till now it wasn't possible to search for a phrase like "Apache Tomcat" - you could either search for all posts that had both words somewhere in it, or search for posts that contained either of the words. Now there's a new checkbox "Match the exact phrase entered" that will return all posts that have both words in exactly that order with no other words in between.
Last month we added the "which I started" checkbox to the "All topics posted to by this member" option. This is useful if you remember that some other ranch visitor posted a useful reply to a topic you started, but you don't actually recall the topic in which this happened. Then you'd enter that other rancher's member name (or ID), select that checkbox, and - presto!- only those topics will be found which you started, and to which the other rancher replied.
