Market Data - Core Java Consultant

This is an ongoing consultant opportunity for an enthusiastic software engineer to work on exciting and challenging projects. S/he will be responsible for a spectrum of assignments from working on new products, system and product enhancements, and systems architecture to bug fixes.


Position Requirements

Required Technical Skills:

4+ years of enterprise software development experience
Excellent understanding of object-oriented design patterns
Excellent Core Java skills
Strong in Web technologies/Javascript

Preferred Technical Skills:

Enterprise RDBMS (Oracle and/or Sybase)
Experience in J2EE platforms, such as JBoss
Experience in Java Persistence API implementations, such as Hibernate
Experience in multi-threaded programming

Other Requirements:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem resolution skills
Ability to deal with changing priorities
The profile of a team player who forms strong relationships with colleagues and has good interpersonal skills

Preferred Attributes:

Financial services experience and solid understanding of securities
