Creating invisible links and text on my JSP

Hey there !

I've been trying to find a way to make invisible links ( including text elements inside it, not only the link itself) but the closer i got was to make the link itself invisible, these outputTexts i have inside it wont change no matter what i try ... is there a way to do this ?

The code above made the link invisible but my page would display " sssssss " normally :/ I've also tried to apply "cursor: default; text-decoration: none" to the text but the result is the same.

Any clues on this ? Thanks !

<h:> is not part of JSP. I'm assuming this is a JSF tag. Please be sure to post JSF questions in the JSF forum. I will move this post there for you.

Hi,

Sorry, Is that you want the text to display on the page or not? I am confused.
if you dont want to display the text on the page it self, then you can handle it with css

I too do not understand what is your problem there. You say above that the code above hides the link but not the text inside. But I do not see how. Your code above hides nothing! And what do you mean by hiding the link? The text that is inside the link is the visible part of any link so what exactly have you hidden when you say you hide the link but not the text?

In any case using CSS you can hide the link (what ever that means) and the text inside by using display:none.

You could also do:

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
