Hello,

yesterday I passed the exam . My score wasn't really brilliant, just 68 % . The passing score is 42%.

I needed about 1 year to prepare for the exam. While this time I had to stop learning several times. All in one, i think that this was definitley the hardest exam of the SUN/Oracle certification path which 've done. As many people here wrote there doesn't exist a single "Read-The-Book-And-Pass-The-Exam". Further I think that there was much more stuff to learn than for other certifications like the SCBCD or the SCWCD.

I 've used the several sources:
http://www.javapassion.com
http://www.coderanch.com - Hey, this is this forum
http://java.boot.by/scdjws5-guide
http://www.slideshare.net/krizsan/scdjws-5-study-notes-3085287
http://www.java-tips.org

http://openbook.galileocomputing.de/javainsel8
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/javase/index-140168.html

To memorize all the stuff I've created a small mindmap which IMHO the most important content from the different sources.

To get a feeling how hard is the real exam I've took three weeks ago Mikhail's Quiz. I scored there 64%, which was very close to my final score. I can recommend this quiz to anyone who wants to take the exam. In the last days I've looked on the things which 've answered wrong on Mikhail's Quiz and I've read more about JAXB and JAXR. With one of the above links to JAXR I think that you 'll be able to cover a lot of this area.

I've created several code examples, to create for example an JAX-WS service (see my signature) or to create an REST service. To get an higher score i think it is required to create more examples that cover topics like WSIT (very important) or security.

Further I want to thank Ivan Krizian for his amazing support here in the forum.

Best regards,
Christian
