This week's book giveaway is in the Agile and other Processes forum. We're giving away four copies of The Mikado Method and have Ola Ellnestam and Daniel Brolund on-line! See this thread for details.
Interesting.
I haven't yet narrowed down the culprit, could be the washing machine, could be the dryer.
Leaning towards the washing machine though. Looks shifty. Got 'em both locked up now.
Anyone got a flashlight I can borrow? Can't start an interrogation without a flashlight...
The Lost Sock Fallacy got me thinking "maybe I'm focussing too much on the usual suspects" (no not the movie).
Then it hit me: the clothes basket. Then after I regained consciousness I looked through it, and sure enough there it was, hiding all along.
I guess we can marked this one resolved, with apologies to my washing machine and dryer.

In other news police arrested a man yelling at his washing machine and dryer while holding a flashlight. Although the man appears to have passed a breathalyzer test, police still detained him. 'I think he is a lunatic' said one of the police officers. 'He was only wearing one sock !'

Please correct my English.
Of course! Even though everything worked out this time, it's always appropriate to stop and take a minute to remeber the ones that didn't make it back. They are the real heroes after all.

A friend from college had a theory. He would change the wiring on the motor that turns the dryer so it would spin in the opposite direction. That would "reverse the stream" so all of the lost socks would appear in his dryer. I don't know if he actually got it working.
