Dushera:- The Dushera is the an important festival of the Hindus. It comes off in the month of October. It lasts for ten days . At some places , the Ram Lila is staged and at once places , the Ramayana is recited. On the 10th day or the last day , a big fair is hold in an open square. Everybody goes to see the fair . shops are set up and sweets and other beautiful things are sold. 
In the middle of the ground , effigies of Ravana, his brother and son are set up . They are made of bamboos and coloured papers . Fire works are placed inside the effigies. At the time of sunset they are set on fire and the fair comes to close. All people go back to their homes, in a joyful and gay mood. The festival teaches us many moral lessons.
now enjoy the ramlila.

First of all, happy Vijayadashami to all fellow ranchers.
While it is a general fact that it is festival that marks victory of good (Rama) over evil (Ravana), but here in some parts of India, Ravana is worshiped like any other God.
Mandsaur is one such place and it is also considered to be in-laws' home of Ravana.
