RESTful and JSON Webservices in the certification

Hello All,

I started reading Ivan's as my primary source of reading material and referring other links as and when needed. Looking at Ivan's material, I found that description of RESTful and JSON webserivces are very limited to "What they are ?". Hence I would like to get confirmed, if there were any examples or code snippets around RESTful and JSON webservices being asked in the certification test. Did anybody see questions on when to choose one over the other? or whether the below coding mechanism is an example of RESTful or other Webservices.

Thanks
Ravi C.Kota

Hi Ravi,

You won't see neither JAX-RS code, nor JSON code on SCDJWS 5.0 test (CX-310-230).

SCDJWS 6 (CX-310-232) has a lot of questions on JAX-RS.

Best regards,
MZ

The questions I saw about RESTful and JSON Webservices, are conceptual ones.

Thanks Mikalai,

SCDJWS 6 is already available now . I just started reading for version 5.0.

I'm not sure, if I need to continue with 5.0 and begin for 6.0 .

Any advice.

Thanks to all for answering my question.

I have just browsed through Oracle site(Sun), for the latest certifications and I see quite a bunch of them including one for JSF. For the webservices part, the beta exam is around $50.

What is the worth of taking beta exam and its recognition when compared to production version. $50 seems to be luring compared to $300

FYI: Ravi, beta period was closed on September 30th.
