Hi all,

I am trying to set a JVM Option in the Sun Java System Application Server Admin Console.

I am trying to set an option to the path of the configuration file for Log4J. My option is as follows but is not being picked up:

My Java app is running on a Solaris machine that I have mapped to my Z: drive.

I have also tried to following to no avail:

Can anyone help me with finding this configuration file this way?

Thanks,
David

Where do you put that -D-Stuff into your command line?

I open the Sun App server console and set the variable in the JVM Options tab. I have now realised that my path was wrong. Because I am using a VM Solaris box running on Linux, I need to point the property to my Linux box.

Still doesn't work.

Problem solved:

-Dlog4j.configuration=file:${com.sun.aas.instanceRoot}/applications/j2ee-apps/my_project/my_project-ejb_jar/prodlog4j.properties

Works!

Thanks everyone.
