JSF IceFaces Custom Component

Hi all,

I have developed my first JSF component which consists of a custom layout container. I am not using a separate Renderer class. Inside the component class, since I override the encodeBegin method, and inside this method I render the children components, I have overriden getRendersChildren() to return false, in order to avoid double-rendering of the children components. However when checking they keep being double-rendered. Tried doing the whole rendering via encodeAll(), but the result was even worse (I'm a newbie man!). Any ideas?? Must I develope the renderer class? This would mean writting overriding many methods without any purpose for my component (decode(),encode(),converters,...). I am sure I am missing something...

Thanks for your help in advance!
