JMS Standalone application

Hi Guys,

I'm a beginner in JMS. This would be my first project in JMS. I have already read some tutorials regarding this.

I have some questions.

The scenarios is this. I have an exisiting cobol procedure. Let's call this processA. processA is consuming message from a Queue coming from the Peoplesoft application. Let's call this queue queueA. I am not that familiar with the setup in the mainframe. But queueA is being accessed in the mainframe using MQGet. I'm not familiar with that too.

What I wanna do is to create a java standalone application that will consume message from queueA. So that I can stop using processA (cobol process). Is this possible?

How am I going to connect to queueA which is being accessed in the mainframe.?
How am I going to deploy my application?

Thanks in advance!
