hi all,

please give some pointers/good websites on learning basic commands of linux/unix, basics of shell scripting etc.

any book names will also help.

I never write any bash scripts that are more than trivial. For anything with any complexity, I write tiny perl programs. The control structures are a lot more sane.

I use Python for the same thing for the same reason
