Hi Everybody:
I installed a version of the NetBeans it is 6.7.1 with the GlassFish 3.1 bundle.
Right now I have done a netstat -a and I cannot see port 4848, 8181, 9080, or 9081.
It says that port 8080 is listening.
I am truly a newby at Java installations of this type. I need all the help you can offer. I am t4rying to make sure that ports 8080, 9080, 8181, and 9081 are open, and when I try to go to the administrative console for Sun Microsystems Application Server 2.1.1, I receive this error:
http://localhost:4848/
I should probably mention that this server had a stand alone version of GlassFish that was on it prior to me installing the NetBeans 6.7.1 with the GlassFish 3.1 bundle. This is throwing me because I saw GlassFish server on the box, but I had to uninstall everything and start with the NetBeans bundle again.
If you can help me configure the server to open these ports I would sincerely appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch, Midani

Is the server up and running? You can check this via "Window / Favorites" there are right-click on the node "Server". The server has to be started manually and won't start right away when you open Netbeans.
