What is the meaning of *.do in web.xml file in servlet-mapping's url-pattern tag?

Hi Krishan,

Servlet-Mapping is useful in hiding ur real servelet class names by simply adding the *.do as mapping the user cannot know which servlet it is pointing to.

It says that whenever container recieves a request that ends in .do, that request should be forwarded to the ActionServlet.

The ActionServlet being a controller analyzes the request uri and decides what to do next
