Cade's BDM and Model

Few queries about the sample application in Cade's GES system:

1) Product(*) -> ProductCategory(1) is what is shown in BDM but in the actual class diagram it is many to many. More probability of being a typo, right?

2) Where does the Products and categories load from? Can we assume that these are entities and hence are loaded from the DB? Only when the user selects a product or category, their availability is checked against the external system?

3) Manufacturer is an attribute inside the product: Agreed. But would I be wrong if the class diagram still holds the Manufacturer class and a One-to-One relation (Unidirectional) with the product class?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
