Hi everyone, I will take you not much time.
I am attempting to take a SCEA exams
As much as I understood, part I is similar exam just as it is SCJP,SCWCD, etc..., with Multiple choices.
But I do not get a nature of the part 2/3, I mean the form of assignment? Whant kind of assignment I get, can you, please, provide me an example (just outline in a few sentences), and to what - Passing Score: 71% - is referring to, since part 2 is not Multiple choice type ?

Thanks in advance!

Part 2 is a sample application scenario with use cases and description. You design a system that meets the functional and non-functional requirements. There are many diagrams involved which are graded in addition to grading how well you meet the requirements.

The Cade/Sheil book contains a sample assignment.

Thank you Jeanne... So in other words, assignments I will get is a simulation of everyday job I do, which include various tiers and technologies programming and designing applications... Right?
And during development of that test assignment I need to implement appropriate design patterns, tiers, technologies?
You said :"There are many diagrams involved which are graded in addition to grading how well you meet the requirements."
Does it mean that I will have a list of some diagrams /technologies/etc, I need to implement, or based on my choice of technologies/design, my application will be evaluated?

Thanks on explanation so far

Yes. It is a simulated project in a simulated domain. it is meant to be representative of a real application with real complexities.

I wouldn't say implement. You are just doing the design, not coding. But yes - you have to use design patterns, tiers and technologies.

Yes. Part 2 comes with a list of diagrams that are required. They are listed in Cade/Sheil and are class diagram, component diagram, sequence or interaction diagram (for each use case), deployment diagram and risk list.
