Hi,
I am working on a project which require to create attendance sheet of all employee within the organisation for each month. I am trying to create a attendance sheet using java.util.Calander class. But not getting the the idea of how to generate sheet dynamically for each month. Could any body give any idea how to start or any other alternate option.

Where does the data come from? Is it in a database already? Or does each employee need to log into the application you're writing to enter their own data?

It might help to create a plain HTML mock-up with fake data. This will give you a chance to check with whoever gave you the project to ensure you are heading in the right direction before you start coding.

A wise approach.

Sorry for late reply, all employee data will be coming from the Oracle10g data.

You may prompt the user to select the month, which is passed to the controller layer(servlet). There you can have your business logic code through some helper classes to retrieve details of the selected month. Once that is retrieved present it through jsp.

we can generate the required output with support from Database (Query) and jsp
we can do in this way
date should be converted to smalldate at Db and execute the query get the result and display

hope my point is up to your requirement
