Is Pet Store the right thing to learn, in my case?

Seem lots of you guys are learning pet store source code to prepare for SCEA,

but i have just pass the SCWCD, and about half a year work experience.

but i am want to read more good code, improve my skill (i am not going to do SCEA currently), is pet store the right thing for me?

will it too hard to understand? any prerequisites before reading it?

To clarify for anyone reading this, reading the Pet Store source code is not going to help for the SCEA. Understanding the design of it might.

Chrix: What do you want to learn about by reading the Pet Store app (or something else)?

Hi, I was trying to know about how a J2EE app works, and learn more advanced java technologies.

I have very limited java web experience, so i want to learn more about it.

Yes. For an overview of how the JEE technologies fit together, it is a good thing to read.
