Bad guys copied all of JavaRanch and published it as their own site and put up google banners.

Google has a form to fill out for that sort of thing. So I did.

Yesterday I got an email from google saying that they bad guys took one thread down, so they consider the matter closed.

I whined about it on reddit and ... now everything is fixed!

It was pretty awesome! I am very grateful!

So, I hereby declare that November 12 is reddit day on CodeRanch.

Hopefully we can get a reddit/moose hybrid image to run that day.

JavaRanch is one of my favorite sites and I couldn't believe when you posted that someone has ripped the site. There are so many heroes in the active staff list of your site who put a lot of efforts.

It is such a famous site for me that I think once you file a complaint at Google they should be easily able to identify who is fake and take action.

Anyways I'm happy that the reddit guys have helped.

Happy Reddit Day. And thank you to the reddit effect for fixing the original problem.

Those hoodlums must be taken to task.
