getting and setting value in a combo box..VIA javascript

Hi All...

I using an combo box and setting some values in it via a LavelValue Bean for it code is show below :-

Now in javascript code when I try to set and get value for the combo box prop. "myarea" via getElementById or name, I was fail in doing this. I an setting values in pageload via a labelvaluebean say "strQryCode"...

MY code for the javaScript is shown below..

I need to get and set new values according to the drop down plus also modify delete selected and delete all options for this combo.
Please help me out
