if I have

<base href="http://server ort/">

<html:form action="/submit">

will struts apply the "encodeURL() to "http://server ort/app/submit.do" or just "/app/submit.do" ?

It is giving me some trouble here

struts html:form will translate that to JUST '/app/submit.do'. the better way of going about portable app with relative URL is not to do 'base href', but rather have EVERY link start out with /app/ (e.g /app/images/a.gif etc.). the '/' takes the path back to the server each time so no matter where you are on a URL, everything is relative to http://server/app/. - alan
