Afriend suggested I post here with my simple questions. I am finding some of teh struts examples to be a bit overwhelming. I am simple trying to figure out how to forward between pages. if I have a simple jsp with a button on it how do I forward to another page? Could you please give a brief example of the steps?

Also, what are beans and how do I use them?

The examples that come with the Struts download aren't really very good for beginners. My advice is to go through one of the basic Struts tutorials out there on the web. Here is a good one from one of our JavaRanch members:

You can find a number of others by googling "struts tutorial".

Sorry for not directly answering your question, but I have a feeling that once you see a basic application through one of these tutorials, you'll understand how navigation in Struts occurs.
