A Moose with a Black Belt?

Hi cowboys and girls,

As founder of JavaBlackBelt.com (now BlackBeltFactory.com), I had the privilege to do some great work for the community with some of you.
A common spirit of both of our sites/communities is the fun factor. Failing exams is not always fun, I admit, but bidding on auctions is fun, isn't it ;-)

As I was wondering how we could develop a richer relationshop between Java/CodeRanch and BlackBeltFactory, something fun, I did imagine the following:

For each user having both a JavaRanch and a BlackBeltFactory account, we could display some ranking from each other site.
On BlackBelfFactory, for example, we could display a moose, and amount of JavaRanch posts as tooltip.
On JavaRanch, for example, we could display a belt, and color name as tooltip.

What do you think?

John, I like that idea.

I think that there are heaps of things that the two sites can do for each other.

I recently got into JavaBlackBelt (thanks to the belts!) and I really like the place.

Is there anything in the works for integration of JavaRanch into JBB?

Yes. I'm not sure when their go live date is, but I'm sure it is soon.

It's live, but we wait for some usability improvements before we announce it.

I just annonced it on BlackBeltFactory.
We appreciated Jeanne's very quick and professional work on that.

I'm curious to see the stats in 6 months (how many integrated profiles), but as far as I can see in our event log, it's already a big success.
A big thanks to everybody!

So? How are the stats now? It's pretty much six months.

There are 303 integrated profiles, including 55 for the last 30 days.

Nice stats! Thanks for stopping back to share John.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
