Most of us internet users have more horizontal pixels than vertical ones...

Wouldn't it be great if browsers gave us the chance to configure our browser windows such that things like tabs and menu bars could be placed on the side of the window not the top? That way we could see more actual website stuff at a time...

I haven't done a survey, maybe some browsers do offer that?

I'm getting some twitter feedback that some browsers (firefox) allow this - so maybe it's just missing in Safari?

I see no Firefox preference for this. Buy I'm mostly a Safari user, so I might not be looking in the right place.

I poked around in Firefox for a couple of minutes and couldn't find it either.

I like it Fred - thanks!

I'd still prefer to find this for Safari, but if I can't Firefox isn't a bad choice.

I'll go see if the "tree style" vernacular helps me in m search.

I use this firefox add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5890/

Having the extra space on the side of the browser takes time to get used too.
