Is an ADSL modem capable of Sending TExt messages or only and GSM modem can send.
I am developing an Application using Java Commn Api through which i am Sending SMS from Computers to mobile phones.

DSL is a completely different protocol than GSM, so, no, you can't. (DSL is not "text only", by the way - it can be used for any kind of data.)
