Hi

I've just got Java Micro Edition (WTK 2.5.2, I think) working on my Ubuntu machine. I can use the phone simulator to simulate a "Hello world" app, but once this is transferred over to my phone (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44402) it says "invalid application file"

This is a slight problem, and a solution will be greatly appreciated.

Will.

hey,
Reason may be that you have done your project for MIDP 2.1. But your phone may not support it.
First check it.

On my phone or PC..?

There is no way to check Java version on my phone (because it is a Chinese imitation of a G5) so I don't know what version to it would support..

So where, what, and how do I check that?

okkk, that means MIDP1.0.
Yah way old tec, now it's MIDP 2.1.
In your project set MIDP version to 1.0 and rebuild.
Then it will work.

OK, so if I have no idea what my phone can run, what do I do now?

Create a basic application with lowest configuration, and
run following code in that and read your phone configurations.
