Just took this exam and passed with 82%, I found it quite easy compared to the Sun/Oracle ones and finished it in under 40 minutes (including reviewing all the questions). My preparation was:

1) reading the Spring in Action, 3rd Edition, early access edition twice - a lot of this wasn't in scope of the exam
2) did both Skill-Guru exams yesterday and got 82% for the first one and 49% for the second one (the second one seems to have a lot of topics that are not in scope)
3) read Jeanne Boyarsky's notes a few times (http://www.javaranch.com/jeanne/Spring_3_Certification_Study_Notes.pdf) - usefaul last minute cram

I didn't take the course as I must have been one of the last to take the grandfathered route so I saved myself the £2,500 or so it costs and only paid the £90 exam fee

Anyone know what happens now? Do they send out a certificate?

Now....what's next? SCBCD, SCDJWS, or SCEA?

Howdy, Will!

Well, congrats for this achievement! This is a certification that I think is worth having.

Now....what's next? SCBCD, SCDJWS, or SCEA?

I think that will depend on your goal. What are the Java certifications you have? One certification I recommend is the SCJD. That shows that you can use Java to solve real problems. Among the certifications you mentioned, I'd go for SCEA.

Just to answer my own question, Spring do send out certificates but I had to ask for it and it was sent as a pdf attachment to an email for me to print out. This is a bit cheap if you ask me and I would be mightily peeved if I had paid the £2,500+ for the course...

Now I just need to find a colour printer and get some decent paper to print it on....
