This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I have a voucher which is expiring on the 18th of December. I was away from the country but came back with just 25 days before the expiry date so am studying hard (after work) and giving it a try.
I am more than halfway through K&B. I should be done with it soon. I have also been suggested to give a lot of mock exams that should prepare me apart from the theoretical perspective the book is giving me. However, I have found out that there is a dearth of mock exams when it comes to SCJP 6.
Since I have only 10 days or so before I take the exam and I am yet to dive in the mock exams, I am contemplating to buy the Whizlabs mock tests. I would like to know if someone has bought that and found it worth it (general feedback etc). Also, it would be great if someone can suggest me the strategy to use the next 10 days so that I can achieve the maximum considering the situation I am in.
I think you should try for the examlab AFTER completing the K & B thoroughly
and don't get tense even if you score 40% in the examlab
they are not meant for passing at all
just use them as learning tool
take 4 exams from it and understand the mistaken question very well
on or before 16th december
take the final exam and review the answers
just relax and think that you are going to pass the exam
that will be relaxing to your mind
and take good sleep before exam
that wil be all
SCJP 6 [86%], OCPWCD [84%], OCEJPAD [83%]
