Time Lapse between Part 2 and 3

Greetings,
I am currently working on Part 2, going to start drawing the diagrams, not sure how much of time will be required for initial and refinement work involved in the diagram part.
My voucher for Part 3 is expiring in a week, so I am planning to take Part 3.
I have read that it is recommended to submit part 2 as soon as taking part 3.
Is it ok if I can email/submit the Part 2 assignment a week after taking part 3 or will it be a major risk.

A week is fine. A month is way too much. I'm not sure exactly where the line is, but I wouldn't worry about a week.
