I am a Java Developer , already have SCJP, SCWCD and SCBCD
I am now thinking to have wider skills rather than only focus in code development, I have 3 years experience in developing Java EE Web Application using JSP/Servlet, JSF, Struts, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, IBM DB2, Oracle DB, IBM Websphere, and Oracle Weblogic.
Any suggestion on the following two certification , which one will help me most ?
(1) LPIC Level 1
(2) Oracle 1Z0-047 exam which gain me a Oracle Database: SQL Certified Expert OCE cert , and with additional IZ0-052 exam will gain a Oracle 11g DBA OCA cert
Thanks. Please advice, if any other cert which you found useful for my situation.

You say you are interested in learning wider skillsets, what about some form of project management certification?
ITIL or Prince2 might be a good start. I did ITIL v3 foundation recently and it was really easy...I think Prince2 is similar, just sit a course, pay attention and pass exam

It is - I did the PRINCE2 exam earlier this year. Helps if you've got someone else paying for it, though .

Thanks for your suggestion.
Prince2 works? I mean in practical. Will that help ? I always hear those buzz word like "Agile/Scrum/XP", then CAPM/PMP.

Prince2 is pretty much the standard project management cert.
Every PM should at least have that, or at least know what it involves
