The webpage J2EE6 JSP/Servlet Developer gives info about the new certification, but it's not listed in the list of Available Certification Exams
When is it going to be available?

SCWCD Links says it's Coming Soon...

According to this site it is still in Post-beta review stage.
I would guess it will be available in Q1 2011.

I would recommend to wait till JEE6 exam released and take 310-085.

Exam may be released end of 2010, or Q1 of 2011.

Beta results may be released after 12 weeks (which is Dec 23rd 2010) after Beta close date.

Best regards,
MZ

Here is the answer from Oracle officials:

We are glad that you are anxious for these exams to come into production! These are still under review. They have taken a little longer than our normal process. We expect them to be released in production sometime in January, provided we do not run into any snags along the way.

Does anyone know, how much of the new exam will be covered by HFSJ - 2nd edition book?

According to the Oracle site, 301-085 exam topics seem pretty similar to the current exam.

Happy New Years!!!

Recently cleared Oracle Java SE Certification Exam, and am seriously considering going for Web Component Certification. As of now, I am reading Head First Servlets and JSP Second Edition. I am also anxious for J2EE 6 exam.

Only time will tell.......

According to Oracle officials, JEE6 Beta exams results will be available by mid Feb 2011:

Kindly note that the beta exam results will be available by mid of February 2011. We are sorry for all the delay and appreciate your patience and understanding on this.

I think, new JEE6 exams will go into production about the same time.

MZ

No news - just change at Oracle beta exams site which is now 28th February 2011.

I've asked Oracle for syllabus for new exams, and I'm still waiting for reply. I will post the results here.

Nothing new, as far as I can see - just a bunch of links to already posted post-beta exams (or production version of them).

I've asked Oracle for more detailed exam topics but only received links to well-know exam sites...

Just take a look at the actual exam topics for EJB in JEE 6 exam
and compare it with EJB in JEE 5 exam

The EJB / JEE 6 exam topics are so poor that basically you don't know what to expect on the exam... and the EJB one is already in production!

I still hope that they will publish more detailed syllabus for new JEE 6 exams.

About an hour ago I got email from prometric that I passed the "Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Web Services Developer Certification Beta Exam".
I think they mean the JSP/Servlet Developer exam, because the Web Services exam I didnt take part in the beta.

Anyone else got this mix-up?

About 3 months ago I've got an email which states that I passed the OCP Java Programmer 5, when I really did pass the OCM Java Developer 6...
After an email they fixed this up but now in Prometric I've got "decertified" in the OCP Java Programmer 5 checkbox. Not a real problem, but it looks weird ;-)

So I guess the mistakes like that are possible...

Correction came now again via email, stating that the JSP / Servlet Developer exam was meant. So they are giving out the results now. Passed
