Restoring screen state

Hi

Not sure that this is a specific struts question but a solution needs to work in this frameword.

I'm working on an application which is struts based using Tiles.

We have a requirement where there is a concept of a User session where at any point he/she can suspend the session and log out leaving it incomplete. The User can re open an incomplete session days later and the application should reposition them to the last screen entered restoring all state to the current and previous screens.

Has anyone else had to do this or have links to usefull articles/design patterns.

TIA Graham

We did a little similar thing and we used serialized bean, this bean was stored in database and when user want to see the screen again, this form was just populated with data from that serialized bean.
