since this occurs frequently in the struts forum, i think this is an appropriate comment here...

this has been a nagging thing for a while now...why can't the smilies be NON-automatic??? most people are on here to get help and write codes to help, not to instant message or chat. worst of all, the option to disable it is WAAAAAYYY down on the bottom of the page.

i suggest either put the checkbox right next to the post button or default it to disabled.
