Well, you need to have WAS wait on port 80 rather than 9080. That would be a WAS configuration change. You will probably have to change your network to associate http://myportal.com.uk with IP address 10.0.0.0. Those changes could be anywhere from your local hosts file to your DNS server to registering your domain name on the Internet.

Thanks a lot Tom for the answer.
Now I am able to access FQDN with port number as below,
http://myportal.com.uk:9080/portal/test.action Suppose now I want to remove the port number from URL,then how i can proceed.
You are saying the,'WAS wait on port 80 rather than 9080' but I am not using any webserver, only WAS.
Actually i have developed the web application in apache tomcat jetspeed. Now i am planning to host my web application to internet.
I have mapped my ip address in host file like my localhost to myapplication.mycompany.com.
But if i provide my link like "https://myapplication.mycompany.com" is not working. But if i mentioned in host file like "localhost to myapplication" its working fine.
Wher i am going wrong or need to do anyother configuration other than the host file.
