Validator - is this valid "email"

The email address below passes the "email" validation in the Validator, but is it actual valid to have a email in this format. Is having a / or other symbol ok. Reason I'm asking is that a email in this format was entered by a user passed validation, but our email bean had a problem with it.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
