Excel Reading using Poi

Please help me to fix this:

I have to read an excel file. Currently I did it using poi.xssf. But using it, I am not able to read xls file. I read in another forum that using 'ss', we can read both kind of excel files.
Please help me how to do the same.

Can any one provide some sample for the same.

It just means using different classes in a different package, for the most part.
