operator IN and NUMBER

Is it allowed to run a query like

select * from table_name where table_name.col1 IN (1, 5, 18, 36);

It throws the ORA-00920 when in a PL/SQL procedure.

Post the whole of your procedure.

Note that plain select * is not supported in a procedure, but that should trigger the P.LS-00428 error.
