Hi scool, welcome to JavaRanch.
Since you have posted this on Web Services forum, I assume that you are interested on web service development?? For web service development, SCDJWS(OCPJWSD) is the official certification. I'm moving this to SCDJWS forum for you.

Hi!
Personally I went for both the business component developer and web component developer certifications before the web service certification.
In hindsight, I feel that it helped me since having a good grasp on EJB and servlet technology makes preparations for the web service certification easier.
However, if you already feel confident in those areas, then the web service certification is a good choice!
Best wishes!

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
